About Dwayne Johnson: Actor, Co-founder of Seven Bucks Productions

Dwayne Douglas Johnson (born May 2, 1972), also known by his ring name "the Rock", is an American actor and professional wrestler signed to WWE on a part-time basis. Widely regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, he was integral to the success of the World Wrestling Federation, now WWE, during the Attitude Era, wrestling full-time for eight years before pursuing an acting career. His films have grossed over $11.4 billion worldwide, making him one of the highest-grossing actors of all time. He is a co-owner of the United Football League, a board member of TKO Group Holdings, the parent company of UFC and WWE, and co-founder of Seven Bucks Productions. He accepted an athletic scholarship to play defensive tackle at the University of Miami, was a member of the 1991 national championship team but largely a backup, and, despite aspirations to play professional football, went undrafted in 1995 and briefly signed with the Calgary Stampeders before being cut in his first season. In 1996 his father helped him secure a contract with the WWF, and aided by a charismatic trash-talking gimmick he rose quickly to global prominence. He left WWE in 2004 and returned in 2011 on a part-time basis. Sources: English Wikipedia (Dwayne Johnson, accessed September 2026).
