About Dylan Field: Co-founder and CEO of Figma
Dylan Field (born 1992) is an American billionaire technology businessman and co-founder of Figma, a web-based vector graphics editing software company. He founded Figma in 2012 with Evan Wallace, whom he had met while they were computer science students at Brown University. In 2012 Field received a Thiel Fellowship, a $100,000 grant conditioned on leaving school to work full-time on the company, and moved to San Francisco with Wallace, where they spent four years preparing the software for its first public release in 2016. He was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2015 and owns a 9% stake in Figma; in June 2026 Forbes estimated his net worth at $1.1 billion, down from $6.6 billion in August 2025. Field grew up in Penngrove, California, an only child named after the poet Dylan Thomas. His father worked as a respiratory therapist at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital and his mother as a resource specialist teacher at Thomas Page Elementary School. As a child he was adept at math, learning algebra at six. Sources: English Wikipedia (Dylan Field, accessed September 2026).
