About Hannah Hart: American YouTuber, Comedian & Author

Hannah Hart grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and graduated from UC Berkeley in 2009 with degrees in English literature and Japanese linguistics, then moved to Brooklyn to proofread Japanese and English at a translation firm while she chased a screenwriting career. In March 2011 she filmed herself drinking wine and failing to make a cheeseless grilled cheese sandwich for a friend on webcam; the video became the first episode of My Drunk Kitchen, and within two months she had quit her day job to make it full-time. The show ran weekly for a decade, hosting guests from Jamie Oliver to Sarah Silverman, and won the Streamy Award for Best Female Performance in a Comedy in 2013. She co-wrote and starred in the 2014 film Camp Takota with fellow creators Grace Helbig and Mamrie Hart, later picked up by Netflix, and signed a first-look deal with Lionsgate in 2017. Her parody cookbook debuted on the New York Times bestseller list in August 2014, and her 2016 memoir Buffering: Unshared Tales of a Life Fully Loaded opened at number four on the same list. She is a 2017 Alex Award recipient for young-adult-relevant writing. My Drunk Kitchen ended in November 2021 after a decade on air.
